For the SLY010 SS22 Special we sat down with Petra Dieners, who inspires us with her unique take on work, life and fashion.

Petra Dieners, who grew up in a small town in the Sauerland region of Germany, started her own business after studying business and holding positions at Tchibo, Montblanc and Brendel Lunettes, opening a company for innovative garden furniture. Her idea was to create her own outdoor living culture, which she successfully implemented with a lot of passion. After more than 15 busy and eventful years of full entrepreneurial commitment and creativity, she then decided to sell her company and devote more time to her family.

In her current fashion blog Lieblingsstil she shows how much fun she has photographing beautiful objects or capturing extraordinary fashion combinations.

We talked to Petra Dieners about her worldview, what her next project is and what she enjoys most about her job as an influencer.

SLY010: If you could meet one famous personality – living or dead: Who would it be and why?

Petra: Linda Fargo. I love her “sense of style”!

SLY010: If you could change one thing in the world: What would it be?

Petra: I would try to create peace everywhere. That is the basis for happiness and contentment.

SLY010: What will be your next project?

Petra: I am currently working on a book.

SLY010: What was the nicest compliment someone once gave you?

Petra: After my inaugural visit, my mother-in-law told me, “When I saw you, I thought the sun was coming up.” And my sister-in-law said, “If he doesn’t marry you, we’ll marry you.”

SLY010: If you could choose any country: Which one would you like to live in?

Petra: I would love to spend 50% of my time just traveling and exploring the world. But actually, I am very German and I love our country. Even if everything is not always rosy. When I lived abroad for a few years and boarded Lufthansa, that was already home for me!

SLY010: Which decision in your life would you want to reverse in retrospect?

Petra: None! I am at peace with myself!

SLY010: What do you enjoy most about your job as an influencer/blog writer?

Petra: You get to meet so many nice people. You can be so creative. The variety and of course the beautiful products.
